Because he's Gay!!!!

Clay Aiken a previous contestant on American Idol is separating from his label RCA. According to E News, the break up happened a couple of months ago because of the fallen sales of his album On My Way Here. His album was let out after he announced that he was gay and many people believe that is why it did not sell. His cd sold 159,000 copies only a little fraction of his last cd, which sold 2.78 million dollars. The media has made such a big deal about this artist being gay and statistically, this caused his album to fail. How pathetic is that? We cannot even live in a world where people are seen as equals instead of being judged.

In my opinion, every person that bought his album and were followers of his music and did not buy his last album should be ashamed. The fact that he is gay should not mean anything. His music is still the same and he is still the same person. Clay is a father who had the horrible decision of coming out or keeping it a secret. He knew that coming out would affect his son and his career and he said he did it for his son because he can't lie to him forever. That is very honorable. Media can definitely sway what we like or dislike about an artist.

  1. oh wow! if that's the reason why his sales went down, then that's complete BS. I don't think that you should be judged regardless and most of all let it affect your career. That has nothing to do with your talent, so i don;t understand why the label or critics are making it such a big deal!
